Misquamicut Springfest is Back

Misquamicut Springfest Weekend May 12-13-14

Westerly: (2017) – The summer season is about to begin at Westerly’s Misquamicut Beach. The Seventh Annual Misquamicut Springfest weekend supersedes six years of successful spring/fall festivals, which have attracted over 15,000 visitors each from Rhode Island, Connecticut, Massachussetts and nearby states. Misquamicut Springfest kicks off a jam-packed weekend beginning Friday May 12th featuring live music, rides, local food, kids entertainment, knockerball, fire juggling, karate demo’s and more.

Music begins at 6pm with Coach Roger and Uncle Bob as well as Laura Dowding opening for the legendary 1970's sesation Firefall with their top 10 Hits "You Are The Woman" and "Just Remember I Love You.". An elegant fusion of fire dancing, spinning, fire hoops, reptile adventures and stilt walkers will roam the festival. From then, until 5pm Sunday, May 15th, Springfest will offer activities for the whole family with a full line up of entertainment on three stages, an outdoor Food Truck Rodeo, a chock-full midway of rides, and two classic car shows with DJ Crusin Bruce Palmer.

Saturday Night enjoy some "Yacht Rock" hosted by Lt. Governor Dan McKee as he introduces Grammy Nominated Multi-Platinum John Ford Coley of "England Dan and John Ford Coley. Rounding out the night will be 5X Grammy Winner, Oscar and Golden Globe winner Christopher Cross.

What: Amusements, music headliners perform all weekend, local bands, over 90 vendors featuring food, crafts and commercial, fire juggler, rides, arts, kids entertainment and crafts and more.

Admission is $8. Parking is FREE. Children 3 and under are free

Shop, Drink, Eat, and Much More
Nearly two dozen New England food vendors will be on hand to serve local festival favorites from chowder to sausage and peppers, fried dough, kettle corn and seafood dishes. In addition, over 30 crafters and commercial vendors will sell their wares. Home Depot will hold a workshop for children each day. Kids can enjoy performances Belle & Cinderella, henna tattoos, hair wraps, and face painting while adults can enjoy rides, crafts, shopping for handbags, t-shirts, jewelry, and housewares. Classic Car Shows will be held Saturday and Sunday from 11 until 3 with with DJ Crusin Bruce Palmer and hosted by The Doc. People’s Choice awards and prizes.
Continuous Music
Rock with your favorite music as Springfest brings headliners to the spacious and comfortable Music Tent. Multi Platinum artists Firefall ("You Are The Woman" "Just Remember I Love Yo" "Strange Way" and Cinderella" are their best known Top 40 hits. Saturday night John Ford Coley (I'd Really Love To See You Tonight" "Love IS The Answer" "Nights Are Forever") shares the bill with 5X Grammy Winner Christopher Cross who will perform all of his greatest hits including "Sailing" "All Right" "Arthur's Theme" "Think of Laura" "Ride Like The Wind and "Never Be The Same." An array of local acts including Rosemere Road, Justin Harris, Coach Roger and Uncle Bob, Jose “Panman” Costa (Steel Drums), Nina J, The Caraher Brothers and more will keep the tunes flowing daily, providing non-stop music on three stages.

Non-stop Family Fun
Walk the midway of world-class rides including the Ferris Wheel, Scrambler, kiddy rides and games. Little ones can watch the Bwana Iguana Reptile Adventures, the Interactive Hula Hoop Dancer and be a part of Streek-It Wacky Hair. They can even enjoy a special rock wall with the National Guard. Martial Arts demonstrations, fire jugglers, Comedy Science Show, Motion Man and Sunny Train all await.

General Admission is $8 and tickets may be purchased at the gate or in advance on

Reserved seating for Firefall is available at and a reserved ticket also gets you general admission to the festival. You do not have to pay twice. Some reserved seating is left for this concert.

Reserved seating for Christopher Cross concert is sold out however there will be standing room available with your $8 general admission.
